XMAS IN BRASIL

Went to Serena under Chelsea Hotel again this week to send off the Lady's brother to Brazil. He turned up with a bunch of friends that could put the UN to shame - engineers, eh. I was just settling in to my fifth beer pretending to listen to a conversation and dreaming of warm December beaches when the brother pops up with his arm around a beautiful brazilian who lives and works in New York. I panicked - what if he satisfied his need for all things Brazilian that night and backed out on the trip.....
