TUES 27th JANUARY: SNOW WAY

9 inches of snow! A good night out with Justin - husband to be to one of the Ladies friends. Went to the Blind Tiger - a dive bar on Hudson. Maybe not my choice of bar before I got there, especially towards the weekends (loud, brash NYers). But when I got there, it was a perfect refuge from the wall of snow coming down outside. Probably the biggest row of beer taps I've seen this side of the Hudson River. You know it's a good bar when you get a 'this one's on us' - second time it's happened to me in the US. Maybe I should get out more often....

Got a call from Andrew about 11- there's some party. I'm thinking there's no one out. Get to a warehouse space on the 18th floor of a building on 26th and 11th and a room the size of a football/soccer pitch is full with all of New Yorks
trendies, wannabies and rude boys. And there's a free bar.....
