WED 17th FEB: GROOVE JET

Went out to see Groove Armada play in a bar in Lower East Side. Or that was the plan. Met Andrew and Phil USA and somehow we're transported to a huge party in Soho House NY with vodka promotion (Surface magazine party). Lots of people watching us as we 'double fist' our drinks. 'The drinks are free!' someone from the magazine cries as we wobble by the pool. 'Yeah, but have you seen the queue!' we replied..... (cont.)

We get to the GA bar in Lower East Side at 10 hammered and there's no one there but a bunch of Brit guys just off the boat sat at a table bobbing their heads up and down like meerkats. We take off to play pool. There's a dive bar on Rivington where you get a complimentary whiskey shot with a can of Blue Ribbon beer (4 bucks) with a pool table in back.

By now we're loud pissed wankers demanding that we play next. I think the rougher guys take us as a bit of entertainment. We end up somewhere else. Al drags us to a slice-a-pizza place at the end of the night and I now know why he's got that gut.
